Leesa - Professional Entertainer
Leesa has been a children’s storyteller for more than twenty years and has worked all over the world including Hong Kong, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Her shows are charged per hour plus travelling expenses but can be adapted to suit your requirements.
Leesa's motto is entertain and educate, and most importantly have fun!
Leesa has appeared on TVB Pearl Hong Kong and worked for Eddy’s Magic HK. She was the first European entertainer to work in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Leesa has also performed in the Duchess of Kent Hospital, Sandy Bay, Hong Kong, and many more.
While residing in Australia Leesa has performed for Kidsfest, Westmead Children’s Hospital and Camperdown Hospital. In the United Kingdom she has given many performances at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. She has provided many puppet shows for festivals and schools throughout the United Kingdom.
Leesa trained as a puppeteer and ventriloquist in HK where she gained a diploma in 1980’s which was linked to Jim Henson of Sesame St.
Leesa has worked as a primary teacher in Hong Kong. She is also is a qualified Drama and English teacher with Dance in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Leesa worked for Sydney Distance Education in NSW where she wrote and filmed puppet shows as resources for the NSW Drama Curriculum.
Leesa and her family are now living in Wales. She has incorporated Welsh and the stories of dragons and knights of the round table into her repertoire with lullabies and songs.
Her theme, to entertain and educate, is based on a wealth of experience of teaching and performing to improve and enhance learning and entertainment to a worldwide audience.
